Program Description
The Baylor in Florence program will operate as a real-world field school utilizing the setting to help teach students photojournalism and media writing skills. A holistic teaching approach will blend the two disciplines just as they are in the professional world.

Florence, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento and Venice, with their rich history and vibrant culture, present a wealth of material on which students will focus their efforts while extensive and intensive faculty instruction provides the opportunity to advance skills in a short time.

Students will learn the classroom basics and then apply them to the development of a portfolio of photography and writing samples. An emphasis will be placed on collaboration and format-specific presentation.  Guest lectures on a variety of topics will be provided by professors from Florence University of the Arts (FUA)
