What: The Baylor Sports Sponsorship & Sales (S3) program, in exclusive partnership with Loughborough University in London, offers Baylor students exposure to cutting-edge sports business analytics. Join us as we visit with executives at St. Andrews, Wimbledon, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and travel to other Premier League teams and leading sports marketing agencies around the U.K. Learning combines classroom exercises with field visits and match attendance.
Why: Data analytics is taking over the business of sports. Teams analyze all aspects of player performance and each step of the customer journey to becoming passionate fans. Brands analyze customer attitudes, digital media behaviors and purchases as fans engage with sponsored teams and players. Careers in analytics are some of the highest paying and most satisfying in the business of sports.
Prerequisite: All sophomores admitted into the business school by the second summer term are eligible to apply. S3 majors receive priority in the acceptance decision. Pre-business majors may be granted permits if space is available. Course counts as 3-hours toward the S3 major or as an upper-level business elective. The program previews the Baylor S3 4+1 Masters in Sport Business, Analytics & Technologies with Loughborough University-London.
