Program Description Participants learn methods of teaching English as a Second Language. Practicum is done in the mornings with English teachers at Saint Anthony School, a dual language, K-12 private school. Afternoons are dedicated to course seminars and activities at the National University. On weekends, the group travels outside of San Jose on guided excursions to explore Costa Rica and participate in service projects.
Excursions include:
Manuel Antonio National Park, Pacific Coast Monteverde Cloud Forest Poas Volcano/La Paz Waterfall
Students stay in pairs with host families. Breakfast, dinner, and laundry are included.
Spanish speaking skills are very helpful, but not a requirement for this trip.
